Kazane is capped by a unique crescent roofline, which arcs elegantly in two directions and defines the building. The cedar facade, stone finishings, and exposed timber structure combine to create an inviting mountain getaway. The site was selected for its proximity to a nearby creek, which carries a gentle breeze. This inspired the name Kazane 風音, meaning “Sound of the Wind”.

To take advantage of the expansive views towards Mt. Yotei, the living, dining, and kitchen are on the top floor, where sumptuous meals and hosting can be enjoyed under the high curving ceiling. A wood burning fireplace adds to the ambience. The large custom kitchen by Leicht of Germany is ideal for cooking up a feast, featuring an IH cooktop, full-size AEG oven, Miele steam cooker, fish grill, and wine cellar.

Spread over 3 floors, Kazane has 5 western bedrooms and 1 traditional Japanese tatami room, WC, media room, dry room + laundry, and single car garage. Whether a group of friends or an extended family, there is plenty of space for up to 14 people to spread out. The 4 ensuites and one shared bath provide ample privacy, but the real treat is to relax into the rich cedar aromas of the Japanese spa bath, to unwind your muscles after a long day of adventuring.

Kazane's interior features a custom metal and timber dining table by local artist RAM, and detailed timber joinery in the expansive tatami room. Playful splashes of colour on some of the custom wardrobes. Special attention was given to each detail, including the selection of fixtures, with pieces by Agape.

Located in Niseko-Hirafu Lower Village, Kazane is an easy walk to local restaurants like Rin, Ebisutei, and Koharuya, or just a short stroll up to village centre. The Hirafu Free Shuttle Bus stops diagonally across the street, giving you easy access to both the slopes and all of Niseko-Hirafu's food and beverage options.

Situated on a large corner lot, Kazane has ample yard space for kids to play in both winter and summer. During the green season, there is also a large balcony space for enjoying al fresco dining and BBQ.
