Ro-An was designed for a multi-generational family to regroup and reconnect. The name Ro-An 炉庵 means Hearth Retreat”, and indeed is a perfect place to curl up with family in front of the large gas fireplace. Sourcing top quality natural materials was a priority, and the warm colours of Western red cedar and Douglas fir really add to the alpine atmosphere. The flared roofline adds architectural panache.

For those who like to spread out and enjoy their holiday, Ro-An is the ideal villa. Under vaulted timber ceilings, luxuriate in the generous living and dining areas. Cook up a feast in the expansive kitchen, using Miele oven and microwave, IH cooktop, and wine cellar. The balcony is protected on three sides, an ideal place for dining al fresco, or just enjoying a nice cup of tea.

The media room is tucked away from the main living area, perfect for the little ones to enjoy a movie. The top floor master bedroom and second master bedroom are very spacious under vaulted ceilings. The bunk room sleeps four people comfortably, and two more bedrooms can be configured as singles or a king. In addition to the 4 bathrooms, there are 3 powder rooms. Ro-An is surrounded to the rear by a mature Hokkaido forest and a small stream, making the back yard like a private playground. The quiet forested views are best enjoyed from the Japanese spa bath.

Located in Izumikyo, Ro-An is only two minutes drive and about 15 minutes walk to the centre of Niseko-Hirafu Village. The Hirafu Free Shuttle Bus stops nearby in Izumikyo during winter, an added convenience for getting to and from the lifts, and if you want to enjoy a few drinks with dinner out. Within easy walking distance are the popular restaurants Graubunden, Tsubara Tsubara and L'Ocanda. Larger groups will appreciate the rare double car garage, as well as heated driveway that can hold another two cars.
