Our picturesque 225 acre property is nestled amongst rolling hills on the banks of the North Para River. Just 45 minutes from Adelaide and yet you feel a million miles away.

Sit under the veranda of the heritage homestead 'circa 1856' and enjoy outstanding wines handmade in the Barossa. Famous wineries such as Peter Lehmann, Yalumba, Rockford, Hentley Farm and Penfolds are a short drive from the property (10-15 minutes). Indulge yourself and experience one of the world's most beautiful award-winning al fresco baths, set in a secluded corner of the property. Take a walk along the river and delight in the flora and fauna typical of the region. Take a balloon flight over the vines. Take your time. Each of Kingsford Homestead’s 7 luxurioussuites is individually decorated and boasts an indulgent ensuite bathroom.Although each suite design is different there are common luxuries to allincluding: deluxe linens, luxury king or queen beds, Bose iPod docks, flatscreen TVs, a pillow menu and L’Occitane en Provence amenities to name a few.

• Stephen King Suite

  This stunning room enjoys views to the westplus access to a balcony on top of the Gothic porch – the ideal place to watchthe sun set over the stone shearing sheds. The en suite bathroom has a doubleshower plus bath with spa jets; the bath is positioned to enjoy views to themagnificent southern hills.

• John Angas Suite

  The Angas Suite looks south onto thesublime hills and giant gum trees at the front of the property. There arecushions in the recesses of the two timber-framed windows and for very goodreason – perfect places to sit and enjoy the view. If required, this flexiblesuite links to the Stephen King next door. The bathroom is equipped with acontemporary shower.

• Mincalta Suite

  The Mincalta Suite occupies thesouth-eastern corner of the homestead, looking over hills and vales. It isideally placed to enjoy a Kingsford sunrise. A set of small steps leads into aninnovative bathroom complete with an extralarge contemporary spa bath plus ashower.

• The Stonemason’s Cottage

  The Stonemason’s Cottage is a specialhideaway for those wanting some extra space and privacy. Honeymooners? Ofcourse. The beautiful stone cottage is at the rear of the main house andfeatures a cosy lounge room with open fire, bedroom and sumptuous windowedbathroom with generous double shower and spa bath.

• Kerry Packer Suite

  The Packer Suite boastsviews to the west, another room that glows at sunset. The spacious ensuitefeatures a magnificent clawfoot bath as well as a shower.

• Frederick Scarfe Suite

  The Scarfe Suite looks to the east – it’s asunrise room – with a smaller view over the old dairy at the rear of theproperty.

  Though not as large as the front rooms, itenjoys a huge en suite with shower, plus a bath in striking contemporarydesign.

  Frederick Scarfe occupied Kingsford in the1900s with his brother Alfred; Frederick was mayor of Kensington and Norwood inAdelaide, as well as a director of Adelaide’s most famous department store,Harris Scarfe.

• The Ahrens Suite

  The Ahrens Suite is on the ground floor,occupying the northeastern corner of the building. It’s very convenient to allguest facilities, including the dining room and lounge, and especially suitablefor people preferring not to use the stairs. It has also been designed forcomplete wheelchair access.
