Casa Dalia is an elegant townhouse developed on three floors, with a total area of 2000 sqf. It offers the perfect accommodation for those who want to be in walking distance to town and yet very close to the beaches below, only a 10 minute drive away. It is also the ideal property to rent off-season to explore the exquisite Baroque and other points of interest, part of the UNESCO World Heritage sites list, that make this area of the island famous around the world. In the third week of May of every year, this lively town welcomes tourists from all over the globe to visit the annual flower festival, called Infiorata. This event, initiated in the 1980s, begins on Friday and continues for three days so that the visitors can admire it during the weekend. The artists create lovely mosaics by using special organic soil and seeds, flower petals and dry legumes, spread over Via Nicolaci lined with beautiful Baroque palaces. Today the Infiorata is considered to be one of the most beautiful events in Sicily.
From the entrance, a series of steps bring you to the first floor. First Floor: The living room is adjacent to the formal dining room. The interiors are exquisitely decorated and form a beautiful balance between the modern and the traditional. The muted color palette exudes elegance and creates the ultimate contemporary space for this town apartment. The subtle grid pattern of the light blue ceramic floor in the sitting room aids in defining the space, while the highlights of black maintain continuity with the adjacent formal dining area. The end result is a sleek, modern space fit for the discerning traveler accustomed to the latest aesthetic trends. Second Floor: A small yet well equipped kitchen with all the necessary cookware and storage. White cabinetry compliments the white gray granite marble counter top and backsplash. This casual kitchen also has a bisto table for light breakfasts when on the go. The outdoor covered patio, also located on this floor, hosts a dining area that can comfortably seat up to 10 people. The big highlight of this house is its rooftop terrace, furnished with comfortable chairs, sofa and tables, from where to admire the spectacular views of the town and its rooftops.
The house is located in the historic center of Noto, a UNESCO World Heritage site, famous for its grandiose Sicilian Baroque monuments, unique regional products and fine food. The beautiful beaches of Cala Bernardo and Porto Palo, Eloro and Cala Mosca, inside the natural reserve of Vendicari, are easily reachable by car.
