With a mix of original features and modern conveniences, this historic getaway - once a vacation home for a noble family - is surrounded by quiet countryside and archeological caves.

In the warmer months, escape the heat by taking a dive into the large swimming pool. Choose to lounge in the solarium or sit outdoors - a tropical garden gives the area a lush, tranquil vibe. There’s also a courtyard with a grapevine pergola - be sure to have your camera handy. Cook up relaxed family meals on the outdoor grill, and then enjoy your creation in one of the al fresco dining areas.

Inside you'll find a traditional and elegant atmosphere with classic touches like hand-carved archways, a staircase made from local Pietra Pece stone, and an antique kitchenette. A second, more modern kitchen comes fully equipped with all the appliances you'd expect, including a dishwasher. There's also a good-sized dining room table for indoor meals. A weekly tidying service and linen change is included.

With four bedrooms and additional bedding available, this villa will accommodate a maximum of 12 guests, and is one of our more family-friendly villas in Sicily with two family suites. The bedrooms are all located on the upper level of the villa and continue the historical feel and décor of the rest of the home. For larger groups, ask your Villa Specialist for additional availability at the smaller La Carretteria house, located on the same property.

While the nearest restaurant and pizzeria are just 200 meters (650 feet) away, for a night out, you can also head into Modica, a 20 min drive, to choose from their assortment of restaurants and shops. For a day at the beach you won't have far to go - the nearest sandy beach is 12 km (7.5 miles) away.
